Kilowatt Festival è una realtà che esiste da diciassette anni e che, a poco a poco, è riuscita ad aggraziarsi una fetta sempre più ampia di pubblico biturgense, benché ancora lontana dal coinvolgimento dell’intera popolazione.
Straordinario il colpo d’occhio nel raggiungere una Piazza Torre di Berta gremita: ogni sera l’appuntamento delle ore 22 è riuscito a radunare grandi e piccini, i quali non hanno esitato a sedersi sul caldo pavimento lapideo pur di assistere agli spettacoli circensi. In un’epoca in cui sembra difficile comunicare a parole, il linguaggio del corpo risulta essere il mezzo espressivo più efficace ed universale. Così volti nuovi si sono aggiunti a quelli degli assidui frequentatori anche agli spettacoli di danza. Accolti in location di pregio tutte da scoprire (o riscoprire), gli spettatori sono tornati a popolare quei vicoli della città che in tempi recenti si sono tristemente svuotati. E nei bar, dove siamo soliti origliare querelle sportive o pettegolezzi, trovano finalmente spazio discussioni e riflessioni sul lascito della pièce teatrale appena vista.
Ciò dimostra, nonostante la calura, che possiamo essere ancora definiti soggetti pensanti secondo la formula cartesiana.
Che si tratti di spettacoli ispirati ad un fatto di cronaca, ad un classico letterario, ad un tema di attualità o alla biografia del performer, questi sono in grado di riportare in primo piano l’emotività dell’osservatore, che si fa testimone di bellezza. Prova di come l’arte sia fonte di insegnamento e di come l’uomo, talvolta inconsciamente, ne abbia ancora un disperato bisogno.

Da e-stin-ziò-ne a Quattro Quadri per Ernest Hemingway, passando per Concerto Fisico e La Mia Battaglia VR, main event di questa edizione di Kilowatt Festival, targato Elio Germano. La diversità nell’interpretare l’arte teatrale è stata una delle fonti di ricchezza del Festival; una serie di esibizioni molto significative aventi come obiettivo l’evidenziare problematiche ed aspetti della vita quotidiana da non sottovalutare, anche se spesso etichettati come “normalità”.
Gli artisti hanno urtato la sensibilità degli spettatori catapultandoli in mondi (talvolta surreali) travolti da uno “tsunami di merce”, oscurati dall’inconscio e dai “meandri in cui si insinua la paura”, isolati dal mondo ed al contempo sprigionanti vita, dilaniati dalla guerra e resi leggendari dalla più estreme forme di trasgressione.
Affiancando l’organizzazione di Kilowatt prima in qualità di volontari e poi di media partner, affermiamo implicitamente la validità e il valore culturale di questo progetto che ci piacerebbe divenisse un evento di culto locale prima che nazionale.
