Abbandona l’università a Colonia per dedicarsi alla fotografia analogica ed alla Polaroid, alle quali affianca studi sul rapporto identità-corpo e sulla prima cultura LGBT.

Nel 2009 si trasferisce a Lubiana dove gli viene diagnosticato il cancro che lo ha ucciso in quella stessa città 9 giorni fa. La malattia da vita a Project Cancer, documentario e ultimo grande progetto dell’artista.
